The intricate dance between reality and illusion, mediated through the use of the player’s camera, is a commendable gameplay element. It not only serves as a flashlight, illuminating the darkened, ghostly corridors of the haunted house but also as a bridge between two terrifying realms.
However, my immersive experience was slightly marred by minor bugs. There were moments of unintended character movements and occasional glitches.
Yet, the allure of the game lies in the player's frantic search for the four keys, each discovery heightening the pulse and precipitating a looming sense of doom. The final key, concealed in the basement’s safe, offers a climactic confrontation between the impending terror and the desperate hope of escape.
In conclusion, "Contrast of the Past: The Game (DEMO)" is a promising preview, offering a taste of an exquisite horror experience.
A promising demo, I enjoyed it! Having the camera be a window between reality and illusion is such a neat concept and was executed very nicely in this. The monster was quite creepy too even in the short amount of time spent with it coming after you.
Definitely a lot of potential if you do decide to make it into a full length game! Thanks so much for this experience :)
Really like the concept wish the game could be longer and have more puzzle. And the funny thing whenever the sanity going down enough he start trembling lol.
